P2G-Hydrogen plant of industrial scale

On 2015-06-04, a Chinese-German collaboration contract has been concluded between the Land Brandenburg (surrounding the German capital Berlin) and the province of Hebei (environing the towns of Beijing et Tianjin). 

One first product of the partnership will advance the development process of power-to-gas by new experiences about economic and technologic viability: The province of Hebei is going to launch a project of a hydrogen hybrid power plant, equipped by a 4 MW electrolyzer unit. This industrial facility is functionally basing on the site at Prenzlau/Brandenburg. It will use the surplus energy generated by a 200 MW wind farm to produce hydrogen as a source of energy for the regional transportation and industry.

McPhy Energy has been chosen as supplier and signed a €6.4 million contract.

Power-to-gas: H2 en escale industrielle

Un pacte de collaboration allemand-chinois entre le Land Brandenburg (entourant la capitale allemand Berlin) et la province du Hebei (environnant les villes Beijing et Tianjin) vient d’être signé le 4/6/2016.

Un des fruits de ce partenariat alimentera le processus de développement du power-to-gas de nouvelles expériences : La province Hebei va monter un projet de centrale électrique hybride, équipée d’un électrolyseur de 4 MW. Dans cette installation industrielle conçue à base de celle à Penzlau/Brandenburg, le surplus de production énergétique d’un parc éolien de 200 MW sera utilisé pour produire de l’hydrogène, source d’énergie pour le transport et l’industrie.

Fournisseur de l’usine est McPhy Energy, groupe qui dispose „de 3 sites de conception et de production en France, Allemagne et Italie, d’un laboratoire de R&D en France“ (selon McPhy Energy)
